  • Fast acting — Quickly emulsifies soil for efficient bonnet and rotary cleaning.
  • Reduced re-soiling — Helps prevent dirt from sticking so carpets stay cleaner longer.

Where It Shines

  • High-traffic carpeted areas and traffic lanes
  • Hotels and hospitality hallways
  • Schools and classrooms
  • Healthcare facilities and waiting areas
  • Residential carpets that need a quick refresh

Before You Start

  • Vacuum thoroughly to remove dry soil before cleaning.
  • Test for colorfastness in an inconspicuous area.
  • Spot treat any untreated stains before overall cleaning.

Method 1: Pre-Spray (Then Extract)

  1. Dilute Pile-Up® TLC in a pump sprayer.
  2. Apply to soiled areas and allow 5 minutes dwell time.
  3. Follow up with hot water extraction for a deeper restorative clean.

Method 2: Bonnet Buffing

Lightly Soiled Carpets

  1. Dilute 1:16 (8 oz per gallon of water).
  2. Add solution to a pump-up sprayer.
  3. Pre-spray carpet and bonnet until wet to the touch (avoid overwetting).
  4. Buff using a rotary machine with a clean bonnet.

Heavily Soiled Areas

  1. Mix 8 oz per gallon of water in a wringer bucket.
  2. Submerge bonnet and wring out thoroughly.
  3. Buff with a rotary machine using a two-bucket system (one rinse bucket, one solution bucket).
  4. Flip or change bonnets frequently for best results.

Method 3: Rotary Machine with Solution Tank

  1. Pour diluted solution into the tank.
  2. Release through a flow-thru bonnet driver into the bonnet.
  3. Buff while avoiding overwetting to maintain quick dry times.

Pro Tips for Better Results

  • Clean bonnet = cleaner carpet. Swap or flip bonnets often to avoid re-depositing soil.
  • Don’t overapply. Low moisture works best when you control solution usage and agitate properly.
  • Vacuum after dry to remove released soil and keep the “fresh” appearance longer.
