IS IT PROFITABLE:

We are going to give you some examples here.  These figures are based on conservative numbers, as an example we are using .95 cents a square foot and many people charge $1.10 to $1.25 a square foot.

Lets say you charge your customer .95 cents a square foot.  Your cost for materials is about .06 cents a square foot.  So you would make about .89 cents a square foot.  So let’s take an average kitchen with an eating area.  That would normally be about 200 square feet.  That would equal $190.00  (200 X .95 = 190).   It would cost you in materials about $12.00  (200 X .06 = 12.00).  You would gross about $178.00  (190.00 – 12.00 = 178.00). 

It should take you no more than 2 hours to do this job, applying two coats of finish product.  That means you should make about $89.00 per hour.

You can easily do 2 jobs a day (that’s only about 4 hours of work a day).  That is 10 jobs a week (which is not a lot) and you would take home, after you paid for the products, over $92,000.00 a year. This is based on 5 days a week. At 6 days a week you would make just over $111,000.00 a year.

These figures are based on only a small 200 square foot room.  Many homes will have these floors throughout their entire home, or in the major rooms.  This would increase your income substantially.  Many homes will have 800 to 1000 square feet of laminate or wood floors.  A home with 800 square feet would generate about $712.00 in income after deducting the cost of material.

Many businesses will have much more than that.  Businesses should receive 4 coats of the finish product.   So your cost of products is a little more, but still insignificant to the overall job.

A 3000 square foot commercial job would generate about $2,850.00 and cost about $360.00 in materials.  You would clear about $2,490.00.

You will also be selling your customers the floor cleaner, so after you have built a good clientele base you will have residual income, as your customers call you for more cleaner.

A one liter bottle of the cleaner cost you $12.39.  The suggested retail is $18.98.  So you make $6.59 a bottle.
